All orders take 5-7 working days to be complete (Monday – Friday)
We are a friendly husband and wife team, based in North Yorkshire. With Jess’s passion for design, and Chris’s passion for perfection, together we create perfectly designed paper products for Weddings, Birthdays and Businesses.
How we came to be Paper Ballards
It was our own wedding that sparked the idea for this business. We planned our wedding in just 6 months on an extremely tight budget and so we had to do a lot of wedding DIY! Jess is the creative one, and so she took the reins on designing the wedding stationery. This is where Jess re-found her love for art and design, and after our wedding day had passed, she decided to take the plunge and open up her own Wedding stationery company called Ballard Crafts.
Ballard Crafts became a success on social media very quickly and eventually sparked an idea for Chris to open up his own business too. After running out of business stationery, and being let down by a regular supplier, Jess turned to Chris for help. Initially, all Jess wanted Chris to do, was to find a new supplier, but instead being the money savvy people we are, Chris said “You’ve got all the printers, you’ve got all the software, why don’t we just make our own”, and so we did! For a few months Chris continued to make business stationery for Ballard Crafts, and Jess had said to him a few times that his products where good enough to sell. Chris came home from his day job one day and just said I have a business name, and that was that. The Small Business Stationery Company (SBSC) was born.
Fast forward another year and after many lengthy conversations, Jess & Chris decided to merge Ballard Crafts and The SBSC, to create Paper Ballards.
A little bit about us
There is nothing better than being in the middle of nowhere, with our three boys Jayden, Noah and Max, and our dog Carter. We love going on adventures in the woods and walks through the countryside. We tend to spend our free time in our wellies, covered in mud and laughing until our sides hurt. If you don’t find us in a field, you’ll find us the kitchen cooking up a feast for our family usually with a glass of red in our hand.
