Getting engaged is such a lovely reason to celebrate, especially this year.
We know though that it can be both so exciting and so daunting at the same time. So much to do!
So once you’ve shared your news with your family and friends, posted that extra special pic and finished the champagne what should you do now?

Insure your beautiful new ring – We’re sorry to start with a boring, admin job but there are honestly such awful horror stories about engagement rings! You won’t be used to wearing it just yet so it is really important to either get it added to your current home insurance or to look into more specific jewellery policies if your home insurance doesn’t seem a very good deal.

Set up a planner and Pinterest Board – Start as you mean to go on! Getting organised from the beginning will pay dividends. Whether you prefer an online or paper planner, your head will be spinning with ideas and well-meaning advice and you do need somewhere to jot them down and save them. Your pinterest Board will be invaluable too to store all those ideas.

Sit down and discuss the ‘big’ decisons – We don’t want to add to the ‘overwhelm’ but there are certain decisions that you need to make as they will shape your next steps. Things like; How soon would you like to get married? Roughly how many people would you like? Do you want to get married in the UK or abroad? Who would you like in the wedding party? And what kind of budget are you thinking of?
